Founded in 1923 as the Hindustani Seva Dal, the organisation was created to build a disciplined, service-oriented cadre dedicated to India’s freedom movement.

Jawaharlal Nehru Becomes First President

Dr. N. S. Hardikar believed that national progress begins with disciplined citizens dedicated to public service. His vision gave birth to Seva Dal—a volunteer movement built upon unity, discipline, patriotism, and service before self.
